Food and music to feed the soul

Two world-class entities have come together to bring opera to everyone. Award-winning restaurant Le Canard and internationally acclaimed tenor Stéfan Louw has joined forces and created a series of soirees.

Le Canard is a unique restaurant in Rivonia, Johannesburg, which has received a number of accolades since its inception in 1989. 

Tenor Stéfan Louw will perform a selection of Puccini’s arias accompanied on the piano by Ilse Myburgh while patrons enjoy the excellent food and wine at Le Canard.

Puccini’s repertoire appeals to the most accessible emotions and is therefore easily appreciated by everyone.

Aria! Opera for Everyone at Le Canard launched on Saturday 4 June. Future dates are: 16 July, 27 August, 8 October and 19 November. Each soiree will focus on a different operatic theme.
